LOS ANGELES – Six people were stabbed during a fight in downtown Los Angeles early Saturday, authorities said.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, two groups of men clashed at about 2:13 a.m. PST, the Los Angeles Times reported.

All of the victims were taken to area hospitals. Two were originally in critical condition and four were in stable condition, police told KABC-TV. All six were later listed in stable condition and were expected to survive. and were in stable condition, KTLA-TV reported.

It was unclear what led to the fight, but police said they did not believe it was gang related, the Times reported.

“I don’t know what started it or if they knew each other,” a police spokesperson told the newspaper.

At least 5 people shot at a beach in San Pedro, California

Police arrested the 28-year-old suspect without incident shortly after the stabbings, KTLA-TV reported.

The incident occurred several hours before several people were shot following an altercation at Royal Palms Beach in the San Pedro neighborhood of Los Angeles.
