MORGAN COUNTY, Ark. – Deputies and other officials are searching for a man who was able to escape from a window inside a jail in Morgan County, Alabama.
In a news release, the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office said Jeremy Taylor escaped from the Morgan County Jail Sunday. Taylor was in jail as he awaited trial.
Taylor is believed to have crawled through a single panel window inside the jail, the sheriff’s office said, according to AL.com. It is not clear how Taylor was able to get the window pushed out.
“The escaped inmate was able to bust through a window that was previously considered to be securely built into the facility,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a Facebook post.
The sheriff’s office said the charges that are pending for Taylor include kidnapping, sodomy, burglary, unlawful possession of controlled substances, and more, according to AL.com.
The sheriff’s office warned the public not to approach Taylor.
