LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. – A man was seriously injured Friday morning after his truck went airborne and struck a utility pole on a Louisiana road before landing on another truck, authorities said.

The driver of the truck was airlifted to an area hospital after the crash in Livingston Parish, WAFB reported. The driver apparently ran off the road, Louisiana State Police Trooper Taylor Scrantz told the television station.

The crash occurred shortly after 11 a.m. CDT, WBRZ reported.

After hitting the utility pole, the truck landed on top of an unoccupied parked truck at a business near Hebron Baptist Church, according to WAFB.

The road was cleared and reopened at about 3:15 p.m. CDT, according to Louisiana State Police.
