VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Just days after Britain’s Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, announced they’d be stepping back as “senior” members of the royal family, the former actress took a moment to visit workers at a Canadian women’s shelter.

According to the CBC, the duchess, formerly known as Meghan Markle, visited the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Tuesday to learn more “about issues faced by marginalized and vulnerable women.”

The ex-“Suits” star and her husband stayed on nearby Vancouver Island over the holidays. Meghan briefly returned to the United Kingdom before going back to Canada last week, Reuters reported.
