According to a Facebook post by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, a woman called deputies and said she heard glass breaking in the lower level of her home.

The suspect, identified as “Jane Doe,” was described as having “brown fur and a whitetail,” the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies made several attempts to corral the deer, who was running through the woman’s basement and collided with the walls, KOLR reported.

The deer suffered some minor lacerations but was not seriously hurt, the television station reported. None of the deputies who responded were injured, according to the sheriff’s office.

The homeowner said she was shaken up by the incident but was thankful deputies were able to get the deer out of her home, the sheriff’s office said.
