NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio – Vermin in your major appliances?
The North Ridgeville Police Department has got you covered.
Officer John Metzo, whom the department dubbed its “Absurd Animal Call Officer” in a jovial Facebook post documenting the encounter, is no stranger to bizarre wildlife interactions.
“You may remember Ptlm. Metzo from such hits as ‘There’s a kangaroo hopping next to my car’ and ‘Um … a cow just fell out of a trailer driving down the road.’ The North Ridgeville Police Department proudly brings you our newest offering ‘There’s a raccoon on my dish rack,’” the post read.
According to police, the masked intruder broke into the North Ridgeville home Tuesday through a light in the bathroom, ransacked the kitchen and then settled into the dishwasher for a nap, WJW reported.
Metzo was able to bring the raccoon safely out of the home, WOIO reported.
