A family planning a wedding in Hudson Valley took to Craigslist to find a date for their high-maintenance mother-in-law offering $1,000 to the right beau.
The ad sought someone with their own suit who is a good dancer, conversationalist and indicated “experience with narcissists a plus,” the Times Union reported.
“Hello! I’m looking for a wedding date for my mother-in-law from Friday evening to Saturday evening for a wedding in Hudson Valley in August,” the post reads, the Times Union reported. “She needs constant attention and supervision. She will probably wear white and try to escalate small dramas — your job is simply to distract and de-escalate. Flatter her for 2 days and make an easy $1,000.”
The post, listed under “gigs” on the Hudson Valley Craigslist, has since been deleted by the author.
The identity of the person who placed the ad is unclear. They did not comment to the Times Union.
