LOS ANGELES – The 2021 Emmy Awards honored the best and brightest of the small screen on Sunday in Los Angeles.

Cedric the Entertainer hosted the 73rd edition of the Television Academy’s top honors, which was broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO and HBO Max combined to receive 130 nominations, while Netflix garnered 129 and Disney+ nabbed 71. Meanwhile, among broadcast networks, NBC led with 46 nominations, followed by CBS with 26 and ABC with 23.

Netflix’s “The Crown” and Disney+’s “The Mandalorian” entered the evening in a dead heat with 24 nominations apiece, while Disney+’s “WandaVision” received 23 nominations and Apple TV+’s “Ted Lasso” banned 20 noms, the most for a comedy series.
