According to a news release from the Cary Police Department, authorities responded to a call at about 11:30 a.m. EDT to Cary High School.

Police arriving at the scene discovered damage in the boys’ bathroom at the high school, WRAL-TV reported.

Investigators have filed juvenile petitions against two students they believe are responsible, according to the television station.

“Very scary! Because what if something really bad happened or what if there was like an accident, and they just shot up a toilet?” Cary High School junior Carla Miranda Rodriguez told WTVD. “Why would they bring that to school if it’s a school campus to learn?”

Classes continued at the high school after a code red lockdown was lifted at about 1 p.m. EDT, WRAL reported.

“There is no threat to the school and no injuries were reported,” Cary police said in a statement.
