Kate Middleton has taken off the tiara and put on her photographer’s hat to get behind the camera for a cover shoot, honoring her mother-in-law Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.
Camilla is gracing the cover and is the guest editor for “Country Life” magazine’s 125th-anniversary edition, Independent reported.
The issue coincides with Camilla’s 75th birthday.
The Duchess of Cambridge is an established amateur photographer whose photos of her husband Prince William and their children have been used to mark official events and occasions, Independent reported.
Catherine is also the patron of the Royal Photographic Society.
The Duchess of Cambridge was inspired by her grandfather to pursue photography, Marie Claire reported.
This is the first formal portrait of Camilla that Kate has taken for a magazine, according to “Country Life’s” editor-in-chief, Mark Hedges.
“The Duchess of Cambridge took our cover images at the request of our Guest Editor, The Duchess of Cornwall, and we could not be happier with the results — in fact, the set of images she took was so good that we struggled to choose only three, from which The Duchess of Cornwall made her final selection,” “Country Live” managing and features editor, Paula Lester, said in a behind-the-scenes story for the publication.
Lester said that she was contacted by Catherine before the photoshoot to talk about the cover’s requirements.
