CINCINNATI – A man is facing animal cruelty charges after police said he admitted to killing his pet.
Amani Ciers was arrested after showing officers and the Hamilton County dog warden the body of his dead Chihuahua on Wednesday, WXIX reported.

Ciers was charged with cruelty to animals.
Court documents obtained by WLWT allege that Ciers admitted to officers that he drowned the animal before dissecting it.
Police did not say how they learned about the crime, and it’s unclear why Ciers killed the animal, WCPO reported.
Ciers was taken to the Hamilton County Jail on a charge of cruelty to animals, and was ordered to be held on a $100,000 bond, according to online jail records.
An attorney for Ciers told WKRC that his client has mental health issues.
