At the beginning of Burrage’s match against Lesia Tsurenko, a ball boy on the court appeared ill, CNN reported.

“He just said he was feeling really faint,” Burrage told reporters. “He couldn’t actually really talk. It was quite distressing to see.”

Video showed Burrage rushing to the boy’s side, where she first offered him a drink and some nutritional gel before giving him some candy that a spectator had handed over, ESPN reported.

“Just tried to get him some sugar, gave him a Gatorade and a gel. The gel is not the nicest thing, so they managed to find some Percy Pigs somewhere along the line in the crowd, which he got down and then started to feel better,” Burrage said.

Percy Pigs are a brand of gummy candies in Britain, CNN reported.

Burrage stayed with the boy for several minutes until medical crews arrived and helped him off the court, BBC reported.

“I just reacted how I think anyone would, Burrage told reporters. “I’ve fainted a few times. I actually had a panic attack once in juniors here, so I’ve been where he is. I kind of know a little bit how he was feeling. So I just tried to help as much as I could. Hopefully, I did.”

The match was delayed for approximately 10 minutes. Burrage lost the match afterward, ABC News reported.
