- Wind Beneath My WingsIt was first done by Gary Morris in 1983, then Bette Midler.
- Wind Beneath My WingsI have tryed in vain to find out who sings that song, can you please tell me, and also play it more often.
THANK YOU - more varietyI love the variety of artists you have from the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's. I have one suggestion: It would be nice if you chose different songs from these artists. It seems like you keep playing the same songs and these artists have so many other songs for you to choose from on their albums. Keep up the good work. You keep us young in mind/spirit when we listen to the tunes & superhits from the past. Take care...
- Although, I wasn't alive when this music was made, I absolutely love listening to it! Unfortunately in my dorm room I am not able to listen to 97.1 on the radio but luckily I can just turn on my computer and enjoy my favorite country music. Whenever you hear the lyrics and their great voices you feel it. My favorite is Patsy Cline. When I hear her music I get chills. Thank you so much for playing such great music. More young people need to listen to this kind of music. I think the world could possibly be a better place because of it.
- Remembering Where We Came FromI suppose we are all telling our ages when we say "Oh I love that older country music" but heck that's what most of us grew up on and sang in the car going to see our Grandparents, but then again when you grow up with a Dad who is a trucker you really had no choice, but to this day I still listen to 97.1 it's my way of keeping in touch with my Grandparents and Dad, some of those songs still bring a joy or tear to my heart, may you always be on the air to keep the good old days alive
- Great Radio Station- needs to extend to Brazoria County Gulf areaI was very excited when I came across this station as we were driving through Houston. I didn't change the channel as I was able to get reception in Jasper and even parts of Louisana. The sad thing is that I can't get it here in Brazoria County (we live near the Gulf). Maybe y'all can pump the power down here.
- Old Country SongsCountry Legends knows how to keep the memories & true country music alive. The songs they play on this station are definitely "Country Music". I leave my radio on 97.1 24/7. Keep up the great songs! Way to go "Country"
- I remember seeing Tanya Tucker back inthe late 70's when she made her debut at Astroworld by the old needle ride.
