Letters from Home

The radio station has a friend, that went to work with in Iraq in 2005. He came home and asked to be reassigned this year. He is in MWR; Morale, Welfare, and Recreation, we provide whatever are resources at our camp allow to boost morale, lift spirits, enjoy whatever down time, those on the camp here have, and provide haven for convoys passing thru our camp, we are open not only for military but civilians also are able to access.

Over the course of his year tour overseas, he and other troops will send along "letters from home," home for them in any case. These entries are for you to get a sense of how they are living over there, there is no political agenda here, simply observations.

I, the editor have changed very little in the letters aside from grammar, spelling and deleting the occasional curse word. I hope you enjoy this unique look at what life is like over there for him and our troops.
