Today more civilians killed out in the city. Not far from a IP station, there were many civilians in line getting gas when a truck came up to them and blew himself up. Supposedly it was loaded with fuel, ball bearings and anything else they could find to load into it to do maximum damage to those in the blast radius. Following that blast while everyone was coming out to see what had happened, another truck pulled up and exploded killing more.

More than twenty were killed, many wounded which with will probably end up making that death count higher.

Many here have been speculating if one of those trucks is the one stolen from one of our locals here. I just can't understand why they continue to target innocent civilians; although they were close to the police station it was obvious the true target were these civilians.

Later in the day a couple of our guys were also hit by 2 VBED's, luckily other than vehicle damage no one was seriously wounded. Which is excellent, because we first heard about the VBED's when they said a vehicle was coming in with casualties, but they have all since been treated and released from the cache...thank you God, none of our guys dies today.

Only a few days left of Ramadan hopefully things will settle a little, just gotta' get through these next few days.

It just amazes me the resiliency of these soldiers, after all the days we...THEY...have had and been through; they still come in here with great attitudes. Tell me you would go home in a good attitude, if every time you got on the road someone was shooting at you or trying to blow you up, (that goes for everyone except those in Houston that stuff happens all the time there, LOL)

We have some entertainment from the states coming soon. Not a good idea to say who or when, OPSEC, ya' know, but hopefully it won't get cancelled like DMX or the comedians that were supposed to come a couple weeks ago.

If they cancel this time, I might as well tell them Elvis is coming next cause they would believe that as much as anything else we tell them.

I'll let you know...
