Moments ago another memorial service was held.

This one for Corporal Casey M., killed by PSAF, (Precision Small Arms Fire), formerly known as a sniper. For some reason, and I am sure it is a good one, this is how these deaths are now notated.

He is survived by both his parents, a sister, his wife, Amber...

...and a country of millions...who enjoy at this very minute, whatever they may be doing, or be, the freedom he gave his life to protect.

I've heard some say "Well he signed up for that, he knew what he was getting into". Yes he did...Yes he did...thank God for him, Yes he did.

Thank God for the so many sitting in the room today to honor him, that daily look hell in the face, because yes they did too.

We continue here, as always, to put a smile on our faces, shake everyones hands, slap 'em on the back, and do whatever we can to make sure all the soldiers that enter this tent have a good time.

And try while they are here with us to forget, at least for small moments of time, what lies outside.
